Water degassing plant

Water degassing plant

Description

Water degassing (deareation) system for removing oxygen from drinking water, mainly built in 1995. The system operates using a two-stage cold degassing process involving counter-current stripping with CO₂ and consists of the following components: - 2 degassing vessels connected in series - Vacuum pump with separator - 70 hl holding tank (Gross, 2018) for storing degassed water at up to 4 bar overpressure. - Centrifugal pumps - CO2 dosing via needle valve - Pipe panel, various pipework, valves, fittings, measurement and control technology - Control cabinet with Simatic S5 control system
