Waste water neutralisation

Waste water neutralisation

Description

Wastewater treatment plant designed to neutralise the pH of the wastewater prior to discharge to the sewage treatment works. The production wastewater is first collected in a stainless steel storage tank, which is equipped with a level control system, a circulation pump and an overflow pipe. The collection tank serves as a buffer against fluctuations in pH and volume, and helps to prevent peak loads in the neutralisation tank. Once a certain level is reached, the wastewater is fed into the neutralisation tank via a pneumatic shut-off valve. If the pH value in the neutralisation tank is too high, the pneumatic valve delays the flow of wastewater. In the neutralisation tank, the pH value of the wastewater is measured and a defined quantity of acid or alkali is fed from the chemical dosing station via ProMinent dosing pumps. A top-entry agitator ensures rapid mixing. Once a certain level is reached, the wastewater flows on to the final control tank. There, the pH value is measured again. If it is within the permitted range, pneumatic valves open and the wastewater can be conveyed to the sewage treatment plant via two parallel-connected, alternating wastewater pumps. The flow rate is measured in the subsequent wastewater pipe. The final control tank is also equipped with a level measurement system. The system comprises: - Neutralisation tank with agitator - Final control tank - Collection tank - Lye tank - Acid tank - Pumps - Valves - Measurement, sensor and control technology (level measurement, pH measurement, flow measurement) - Control cabinet
